All The Tools You Need To Learn Effective Self-Defense
“…what I do have are a very particular set of skills. Skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you.”
--Liam Neeson, Taken
Who can forget that iconic dialog from the movie taken and I’m sure while listening to it every person who is a parent could relate to the sentiment and anger that Liam Neeson’s character expressed.
One of the things that I think that made that move such a success was not only a plot that every person could identify with but the simple no nonsense approach that the lead character displayed in all of the fight sequences. Nothing complicated just pure striking and finishing the fights in the most efficient manner possible because after all.
Who wouldn’t want a particular set of skills that would make you a nightmare for a potential adversary?
Isn’t that what you would want in a self-defense system?
Unfortunately, for many people due to the way most self-defense systems are presented the skills they desire are not accessible to the avenge person.
This is because burned into the psyche of us all due to the popularity of movies and sportive competitions is the notion that in order to protect ourselves we need to possess a level of physicality that rivals an MMA professional or pro-level Boxer.
Nonsense!
You know, ever since I launched Warrior Flow there have been a number of inquiries as to what exactly is “Warrior Flow”?
So, I’ll explain it because I think there are a number of unique things that separates Warrior Flow from other systems of fighting.
Now before you click off this ad please read on because what I’m about to explain is a radical view towards self-defense training that flips the whole paradigm on its head.
WHAT IS WARRIOR FLOW?
First off I want to ask you something and it starts with a simple question, one that I'm sure you've asked yourself.
What if you could train to move in a way in the body you already have where you move in a way that throws off the timing of your adversary where you can strike him anywhere at will?
And, you could accomplish all this in the blink of an eye?
This is what we are offering, the thing that every martial artist wants to be able to do!
To neutralize an adversary’s movement before they can get their stuff off and end a fight before it even gets started?
Not hyperbole but based on how the human body operates within the known laws of physics.
What is that worth to you to have that skill?
Warrior Flow is an effective, modern, and dynamic self-defense and fighting system designed to be practical and intuitive for people of any age, shape, or size. The techniques expand on your natural instincts and since we do not train you how to do anything that your body isn’t already designed to do. You develop effective skills quickly, while enabling you to address attacks under any scenario. You will learn how to defend yourself and your loved ones, while gaining increased awareness and instinctive reflexes.
Warrior Flow is the culmination of my nearly forty years of experience both in and out of the military too include training people in the military, law enforcement and people who provide VIP protection on five continents. This system is specifically designed to help people achieve a level of fighting skills above and beyond what they think they are even capable of.
Warrior Flow is designed to train people through a “Warrior Mindset”, to fight effectively “in the body” that they already have so that if they have to fight, to be able to win the fight. Especially if it’s for their lives!
We train you to bring the fight right to the enemy with ruthless efficiency for the sole purpose of ending the fight as quickly as possible.
We train you from the very start to develop the “Moral Certainty” and “Perfect Clarity” to push past fear and know what to do, and be able and willing to do something about it.
Our philosophy is: proficiency fosters competence, which enables you to stand in that space between courage and fear called “confidence”.
You see the only fight that really matters, that really counts, is the one you win for your life or those you protect, everything else is all nonsense, a duel, a game…
Now, to be fair virtually all martial arts show you “tools and techniques” the problem is most don’t show you how to actually use them in a real fight… because they don’t know how. So instead, they actually train you away from how the body works under dynamic conditions.
What makes us “unique” is our focus is on developing you in the body “first” refining your movement as you grow in skill. We do this through a method of training and exercises that not only develop your fighting skills, but enable you to continually improve to the point where your movement becomes so “refined” you transcend technique. Making your movement better!
Warrior Flow is not just a martial art, but a philosophy, and the science of winning in combat. With an emphasis on bringing the fight right to the enemy with ruthless efficiency for the sole purpose of winning the fight and the preservation of yourself. Warrior Flow above all “abhors” the spirit of fear and will never entertain it nor take counsel of it.
On these points, there should be no ambiguity!
You see the only fight that really matters, that really counts, is the one you win for your life or those you protect, everything else is all nonsense a duel, a game.
Anyway, there are no forms or pre-ordained techniques in that the focus is on developing people in the body “first” refining their movement as they grow in skill. This process I have in the past referred to as “polishing” and is in line with the Japanese philosophy known as “Kaizen” or “continual improvement”.
In other words, rather than training people in a bunch of techniques the ultimate goal is to enable them “in the body”. Again, “in-the-body” to continually improve in which over time their movement becomes so “refined”, so “smooth”, so “seamless”, so “creative”, that they “transcend technique”.
Meaning they reach a point where their ability to deal with another person’s motion becomes so well developed. That it pretty much doesn’t matter what the attacker does because at the end of the day, as one of my Masters use to always say, “…you’re just dealing with motion”, and nothing more. This philosophy along with “Don’t let it happen in the first place”, pertaining to a potential attack, and a number of other concepts that I learned from my Masters over the years form the core underpinning that has shaped my training philosophy and the “why” I do what I do the way I do it when I do it.
This alone is a radical departure from the way in which many arts are taught because in most martial arts the emphasis is on technique or the development of tools, and not the actual mechanisms of how things work within the known universe. Don’t get me wrong there’s nothing wrong with tool development or technique because you can’t have a fighting system without it. however, if you’re going to teach them at some point you need to train people how to make them work under dynamic conditions, and you can only do this by developing their body’s to respond appropriately without conscious thought.
AGE IS BUT A NUMBER
Growing old is a blessing, as I tell students all of the time getting older is a good problem to have. But as time goes on you lay down one day and wake up and before you know it you’re already 40-50 years old. It’s just the way it is.
Suddenly you notice gray hair on your head, you get more prosperous around your belly, lose some muscle mass and so on.
Your mind thinks that you’re still 25 years old, but your body will not respond the way it used to the commands of your brain.
If you’re like me your joints hurt from a lifetime of activity and for many our motion isn’t as fluid as when we were younger, which is why many older people opt out of sports.
Most martial arts, including those that profess to be self-defense systems, because of the way they are performed unfortunately, are sportive in nature and can be physically demanding which is fine if that’s what you want, but the question is will you be able to perform at that level when you are 60? 70?
Warrior Flow is the exception to the rule you see Warrior Flow is not a sport, and I am not even sure if I want to include it as a martial art, definitely not in the typical sense. Warrior Flow is about winning the battle and survival, period.
If the purpose of life is to survive, and in order to survive learning to protect yourself and your loved ones should not only be a necessity but a mandate of the highest priority there is. Life itself!
WARRIOR FLOW IS FOR EVERYBODY
Here’s the deal, Warrior Flow is for everyone and whether you’re 18 or 80 as we have seen and even people at advanced ages are capable of performing with unbelievable results while becoming capable to defend themselves!
But before I get into this there’s something that I need to tell you and that is as hard as it is to believe, most of what we learn about body movement dynamics growing up is just flat out wrong. I know this sounds crazy but as a person who had played sports form little league through college as well as 28 years in the military.
Many of the things we are taught are not just wrong for our joints but neurologically wrong. As a result, our movements are out of synch with the natural way our bodies move. It’s simple the more out of synch you are in the body the more difficult it is to control your movement especially under dynamic conditions, and the fighting arts are not immune to this.
Trust me when I tell you that there are a lot of things we did and still do that are just wrong for our movement. The difference is when we are young because of our ability to recover we’re just able to muscle through it. But it still didn’t make it right.
Warrior Flow students have witnessed it themselves and see how instructors adjust their training based on the age bracket of their students and so are able to cope with the physical regiment.
This almost never happens in other martial arts, but then again as Warrior Flow is about training yourself how to win the fight and is not necessarily just a series of martial arts techniques.
The important thing that Warrior Flow instructors do is they give their students a different approach to learning how to perform the required techniques in order to put your adversary down.
The Warrior Flow system is taught through the same concepts regardless of age with the only difference being due to ethical reasons there are things that we do not teach children.
You can even train when having a bad knee, as long as you take proper precautions.
IT’S PERFECTLY NORMAL TO FEEL APPREHENSIVE AT FIRST
If this is going to be your first time enrolling in a self-defense training program and you’ve never participated in any sports or anything remotely related to it, then it is expected of you might feel apprehensive upon walking into the front door.
It’s easier for those who have had previous sports or martial arts training to fit in as they know some of the basic drills already; however, you’re going to find that the instructors and fellow learners are very accommodating and friendly.

FAQ's
Why should you train in Warrior Flow?
Warrior Flow is a pure self-defense and striking system. There are no competitions or showcases for self-defense scenarios. We train in Warrior Flow to help us avoid if possible and deal with the worst case scenarios but if you we have to fight then to win the fight. If someone is threatening your life, we train on how to avoid that scenario to begin with, and if it is already beyond the point of no return, we train you to use the most effective strikes and techniques to prevail, while under extreme stress. There are no elaborate choreographies nor absolutes. There are no uniforms, rituals, and no traditions. We do not train in Warrior Flow to start fights or show off. We train to save our own lives and the lives of our loved ones.
What if I’m a beginner?
First of all, since Warrior Flow trains people in concepts that are universal to how the human body moves under combative conditions no experience is necessary. So whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned martial artist everyone will benefit from the training. In Warrior Flow we have a philosophy: proficiency fosters competence, which enables you to stand in that space between courage and fear called “confidence”. Warrior Flow is all about this.
Warrior Flow is uniquely designed to create a “shift” in your thought process, to help you see in your mind that which is possible. But in order to do this, you must first be able to move properly in the body. In the beginning, you will learn how to strike as well as control your body to move effortlessly, better to be able to deliver strikes with authority. In addition to learning how to deal with an attack, you will train to perform better under stress and learn awareness and prevention techniques that will help keep you from getting into problematic situations.
After mastering the basic concepts which doesn’t take long, you will train to deal with multiple simultaneous attackers, weapons, complicated situations, and learn advanced combative and weapon techniques (standing up or on the ground).
Is there a minimum age for starting Warrior Flow?
No, however, minors that train at our schools must be accompanied by an adult and since Warrior Flow is a very aggressive system that teaches preemptive fighting techniques. We believe it would be irresponsible to teach “certain techniques” to children.
